Is Clark County School District’s new grading policy really helping students? It certainly doesn’t seem like it!
When students returned to in person learning in the fall of 2021, the district had implemented a new grading policy that gives every student a minimum of a 50, as well as prohibiting teachers from penalizing students for turning in assignments late or missing class.
Halfway through the first school year of this new experiment and teachers are finding it taxing on them while students grades aren’t improving.
